Bamboo & Nettle String Comb

These Magnificent Combs were hand carved & woven together
by various Himalayan villagers we visited* in January 2008.
We thought these were super cool looking & very functional
for teasing hair jungle style.

it also creates lots of work directly for villagers.
They were carried out of the mountains in huge baskets
balanced by straps on their heads for days.
