Cecilia Garcia is a Chumash Medicine Woman, and author of Healing Plants of the West, who helped Savage Designs vision itself into being. She is a good friend and blessed our design studio where a small group of women hand-craft our garments. She has been with us as a mentor and guide through our personal and company transitions. The land has seen many touch its surface, and as a Native woman keeping the traditions alive of the land where we started the company, we feel honored to have embraced such a profound friend.
